The

young man lets go or save a fish (a frog, a snake, a supernatural creature), it fulfills his wishes and he marries a princess. {ATU links are not entirely reliable. In particular, Uther 2004 includes a Corsican version (Massignon 1984, No. 66), in which the main part of the plot is missing. References to the Balkan versions probably fit the plot's definition, since Bulgarians do have one}.
