Folklore Database Contact Information

Anyone can use the database, and if you register with your university email address the website will give you priority on large searches.

If you would like data for a specific motif, or tradition in CSV format, please get in touch. Most of the time help can be quickly given, and without cost—all. The only condition, and as per the license of the site, is that the the database is cited in your output (see footer), such as in papers, journals, articles, etc. along with any sources which were used for your specific references, e.g. the Berezkin/Duvakin Catalogue of Motifs, or books and their authors.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure all data published is not copyrighted/ out of copyright or licensed for use, if you do have issues with any data published within this database, such as copyright, please contact the website and this can be removed. Thank you.
